Your Mouth Is the Front Door
to Your Health.
Regular dental care is essential for overall health. Studies show oral health is directly linked to heart health, diabetes management, and overall wellness. Dental insurance helps you keep up with regular checkups and catch problems early — before they become expensive emergencies.
Without coverage, a single root canal can cost $1,000+ and a crown can run $1,500+. The right plan keeps those costs manageable while encouraging the preventive care that saves you money long-term.
…a small monthly premium beats a big surprise bill.

What does dental insurance typically cover?
Most plans follow a 100 – 80 – 50 structure: preventive care (cleanings, exams, X-rays, fluoride) at 100%; basic procedures (fillings, simple extractions, periodontal treatments) at roughly 70–80% after deductible; and major procedures (crowns, bridges, dentures, root canals, oral surgery) at about 50% after deductible. Typical benefits include two cleanings per year, annual exams and X-rays, fillings and extractions, crowns and bridges, root canal therapy, and dentures or implants on select plans.
How much does dental work cost without insurance?
Without coverage, a single root canal can cost $1,000+ and a crown can run $1,500+. With a plan, a $200 cleaning is often $0, a $250 filling drops to roughly $50–75, a $1,500 crown to about $500–750, and a $1,000 root canal to roughly $300–500.
Does dental insurance cover braces and orthodontics?
Orthodontic coverage — braces and aligners for children and adults — is available on select plans, usually subject to lifetime maximums. We can help you compare plans that include orthodontic benefits.
Does Medicare cover dental care?
Original Medicare doesn't cover routine dental care. Medicare beneficiaries can get dental coverage through many Medicare Advantage plans or by adding a standalone dental plan — we help you compare both at no cost.
